"Istanbul (not Constantinople)"! Actually I'm ashamed to admit that I had to Google the answer. I had no idea that the original Orient Express travelled from Paris to Istanbul ( which only changed it's name from Constantinople in 1930 apparently). I am old enough to remember a hit song about the name when I was at primary school in the 1950s. I shall try to remember to ask to hear more about your exotic travels when I see you at The Vintage Bazaar in Frome.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh I remember that song too...
ReplyDeleteI would not have known the answer but as I know you have been away to Istanbul recently I would hazard a guess that is where it is - a very exotic eatery I have to say.
By the way Tracy thank you so much for the nice comments you made about Ann and myself on Ted & Bunny's blog - much appreciated and may I say ditto.
