yesterday & hankies

Firstly I apologise, I am suffering from a chest infection and am not quite with it and I feel that my pics are suffering. The hanky pics were taken in poor light & I didn't turn them around before posting.
Yesterday I had a stand at Honiton Textile Fair, the most beautiful item that was there was a cover (bed or table) with the most beautiful faded pale cream & blue ribbon work, it was much admired.

I tried to make my stall seasonal with autumnal colours & lovely Witney wool blankets

Striking black & red

but it is tricky, as the "CK floral style" never goes away so I still take a mixture, and I always have more stock than space.

Onto hankies, last weekend I came across a pile of lovely vintage ones (the only thing that I found apart from the most fantastic chunky mantleclock made in USSR)
Mabel Lucie, dogs on scooters, Cinderella.....

1950's souvenirs of Paris

beautiful 1930's crepe
beautiful cotton chintz originals not CK repro's (& cheaper)
and this beauty it is a large silk square

Oh l'amour.
I hope to see many of you over the weekend, either at Totnes vintage mix or Shepton Flea.
(see side bar for details).
ps. hello to my newest followers.

  2. Wow, these are fantastic, I confess to collecting quite a few and had I been able to see you at one of these fairs, I'm sure I'd have added to my collection!

  3. Hello lovely. I am sorry I didn't get to the fair in Honiton on Tuesday but I have been frantically busy getting ready for Totnes. I hope you feel better soon and I look forward to seeing you and your yummy stock on Saturday x

p.s Lizzie says you have booked somewhere to stay in Frome for the Bazaar. Can you let me know where as I have yet to book and would appreciate any recommendations :-)
