We arrived early today and the girl's were re-dressing the window, in prde of place in the window is my beautiful little arm chair, the loose cover is a faded silver, doesn't she look lovley?

The silk square is also mine it has "I love you" in many languages with cherubs,

The girls have made a lovely silver/pink/cream romantic display without being overtly "Valentines"

Please forgive the self indulgence today, but it takes a while to get the right look, I have been thinking for a while of how to utilise the sloping walls. Michael and I have taken wires across so that I can hang fabric but hold it back. I have chosen Liberty & barkcloth in greens & yellows.

I have dressed my mannequin in a really long piece of Sanderson screenprinted fabric with a long piece of 1930's silk polka dot at the waist.

I decided to display both of the "Singer" tables rather than one at a time because I think that they would be wasted in a garden and would make great console tables.

We have more lighting, another chandelier & anglepoise

Now for the rest of the shop, there are a lot of pictures, as since I went in on Thursday the stock has turned around. The units are kept very smart & topped up which makes every visit interesting.

  1. Tracey it looks stunning you have done a lovely job. Promise Andy and I will make it down this year to have a little rummage! You certainly all work hard to make the stands appealing.

  2. Thanks Jo
It is easier sometimes than a fair, for instance I can never display the chandeliers, but I also can't keep the textiles tidy. However the girls in the shop are very good as they tidy and re-arrange. It all helps keep the whole shop looking good.
    See you soon hopefully.

  3. Oh heck that looks exactly like the kind of place I could blow the food budget in so I will make sure I stop by next time I come to see my sister who lives in Witney (and failed to mention this gorgeous place so I'm getting on the phone right now to tell her off...!)
    thanks for the virtual tour...

  4. I think you have displayed everything really well - it is very hard sometimes to get this right and you have achieved this wonderfully!! We were up in the Cotswolds last week - now I wished I had made it over to Witney. It looks a great shop to visit.

  5. Your display looks stunning - it would really entice me in! In fact the whole shop looks just great. So much thought has gone into the displays. Next time I head west I must call in.

  9. First and foremost thanks for becoming a follower. I just might learn how to do that one of these days! I'm not a very quick learner - people at work are amazed that I have got this far with the blog! I love reading your blog and seeing the things that go into the shop.

  15. Hi Tracey,
Definitely on my 'Must Visit' list for 2011...hopefully soon...then Hubby and I will be able to fit in more than one visit during the year!
You have some gorgeous things...I know I would be tempted!
Hopefully see you at the flea...lets hope the weather warms up by then. You'd laugh about Deb and my last visit. I'd bought a chest of drawers and 3 French crates. Deb then bought a huge garden gate for her Gardenalia stall! How she thought it was going to fit inside my little Hyundai car, I don't know! Plonka! Ha! We had to call her hubby to come and collect it! You know what we're like when we're shopping together...we get carried away! :)

Thank you for your comments on my blog - You are kind to visit.
Have a great rest of the week,
    Niki xx
