blogging suspended

I have had to stop blogging, as I had run out of picture storage space. On Saturday I purchased some more and Google have not yet allowed me to start using this extra space. Obviously they have taken the money and tell me that I should be up and running, but as we know, life is not like that!
Hopefully I will be back asap!

Poppies

I managed to buy three things at the Vintage Bazaar, one that I can't mention as it is for Chrissy for M, a retro grey patterned shift dress which may or may not fit, and this beautiful corsage from Clare at Daisy Darling I thought how lovely for a Rememberance Poppy, I have worn it every day since Saturday and will continue to do so.

makeover

just a quick idea, this pic was in the Sunday Times today and I think that it is great inspiration for the Angels bedroom makeover.
He doesn't know that he is having one but his current room has a coat of paint slapped on the old wallpaper, furniture that he has had since he was 12 and a bed, well I seem to remember it was his first!
I have always painted murals on his walls but when we moved here he said not to bother.
I know that this room doesn't reflect his current interests but I think that it has enough Brit cool to be a basis.
watch this space.....

Vintage Bazaar Frome

Well what a busy day, Clare and Lizzie played a blinder! I apologise for the few pictures that I took but by the time that I had set up the doors had opened and from then on it was tricky to take any pics. I only took the ones of my own stall at the end of the day!

I wasn’t feeling to well and thank Michael for all of his help, and I apologise if I seemed a bit vacant to anyone (some might say no difference to normal).

However it was a great day & success.

Inspired by Elaine, this morning when I took Flo for her walk the camera came aswell.
I love my zinc buckets outside the house and just pop what looks nice into them.

As we walked along the lane, the colours are lovely, some of my favourites are burnt orange & lime green
 hello little chap
 "What is it Flo?"
about 50 canada geese, a swan & Mr & Mrs Mallard, grazing.
Shall we chase them?? No lets go home for a hot choc!
I have just loaded the van and am not happy with what I am taking, but heyho!!
I now have to pack all of Tom's stuff for him to take back to college (yes he is going back this time!), as he spent soooooo long cleaning his room yesterday that he didn't have time, and if it isn't ready when his Dad comes to pick him up, all hell will break loose!
Tom obviously isn't here now to do it himself as he has gone off beating for the day!
Have I got something wrong somewhere?

Shelves:part 3

I tried the shelves today, I think that they look great, I think that the French doll will sit on the top shelf & I have an idea of wool blankets on the bottom, however even if I did a precision plan, I would change it on the day, unpacking
your brain buzzes and sometimes you have a flash of inspiration and display things completely differently.
For my final stall display come back Sunday or visit me at the Vintage Bazaar in Frome this Saturday where there will be lots of stalls selling original vintage clothing, homewares, jewellery, textiles & decorative items. The big day is not far away so if you are looking for something individual, this is the place.
As Lizzie would say " only 2 more sleeps"!

an afternoon off

Sometimes when you think that problems within your family are caused by something you may have done, it can be an idea to take time out. I had asked Tom if he would like to do something as I wanted to spend some time with him.
He decided on fishing, when at home he likes to go to the Lenches Lakes.
The lakes are owned and managed by Amanda & Simon, who I have known for a long time, although I haven't seen Amanda for years (I used to go out with her brother, many years ago). Gosh it took me back to my teenage years to talk to her, as she looked as she did at 21, and her brother phoned while I was there and I spoke to him, now that was strange, I felt like the silly school girl that I was way back then.
Back to the object of the day, and what a beautiful autumnal day, I think that I will let the pictures do the talking.....

Rainbow trout, although not for tea, as I am allergic to fish.
I enjoyed the sun, quiet & company, we need to do it more often.
Tom has arranged for him & me to go clay pigeon shooting at Christmas, I am really looking forward to that, what a lovely surprise.
